How the school works
Clear rules for a calm, fair campus
Attendance, conduct, exams, transport, uniform, phones and privacy — the everyday agreements families and the school keep with each other.
Attendance Policy
Attendance Policy
Regular presence is part of the academic record. The school expects students to be on time and in class unless there is a genuine reason.
- The school day begins at the published reporting time. Late arrivals are marked and recorded.
- Parents should inform the office the same morning if a child will be absent, and send a written note or medical certificate when the child returns.
- Leave for family functions or travel should be requested in advance. Unauthorised absence may affect promotion and internal assessment.
- Long or repeated absence is followed up by the class teacher and, where needed, the principal.
Exact timings and the current session’s attendance circular are available from the school office.
Discipline Policy
Discipline Policy
Discipline at DWPS Bhiwani is about respect for people, property and the timetable — not public humiliation.
- Students follow the code of conduct in class, on the grounds, in transport and at school events.
- Bullying, rough language, damage to property and defiance of staff are treated as serious breaches.
- Consequences are graded: warning, parent meeting, written undertaking, and, in rare cases, suspension as decided by the principal.
- The anti-bullying and child-protection routes on the Safety & Well-Being page apply whenever harm, not only “misbehaviour”, is involved.
Examination Policy
Examination Policy
Internal tests and CBSE examinations follow a published calendar. Honest work is required of every student.
- Periodic tests, term exams and practicals are held as per the academic planner and CBSE guidelines.
- Unfair means — copying, carrying notes, or using a device — cancel that paper and may invite further action.
- Medical or other genuine absence from an exam is considered only with documents submitted in time.
- Promotion, compartment and improvement rules are set out on the Academics pages and in the session circular.
Transport Policy
Transport Policy
School transport is a supervised service on published routes. A seat is a privilege that depends on safe behaviour.
- Routes, stops and fees are confirmed by the office at the start of the session. Changes need written notice.
- Students must be at the stop on time, remain seated, and follow the attendant and driver.
- Parents should not stop the bus except at the allotted point, and should inform the office if the child will not travel that day.
- Misconduct on the bus can lead to withdrawal of the facility for a period or for the session.
Uniform Policy
Uniform Policy
The uniform marks a student as part of the school. It should be complete, clean and worn as specified for the day.
- Weekday, sports and winter uniforms are notified at the start of the session, including house colours where used.
- Hair, jewellery and accessories should stay simple and safe for school work and games.
- Repeated incomplete uniform is recorded and parents are asked to correct it.
- On days the school permits colour dress, clothing must still be modest and suitable for campus.
Mobile Phone Policy
Mobile Phone Policy
Phones and smart watches stay out of the school day unless the office has given written permission.
- Students should not bring a mobile phone, tablet or smart watch to school. If one is required for a journey, it must be deposited at the office on arrival.
- Use of a phone to photograph, record or circulate images of staff or students is forbidden and may become a disciplinary and cyber-safety matter.
- A phone found in use or in a bag without permission is confiscated and returned only to a parent.
- Parents who need to reach a child during school hours should call the office.
Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy
The school collects only what it needs to teach, keep children safe and speak with families.
- Admission forms, medical notes, attendance and academic records are used for school purposes and statutory returns.
- Photographs and names appear in the yearbook, website or social channels only as the school’s published consent practice allows.
- Student data is not sold. Access is limited to staff who need it for their role.
- Parents may ask the office what is held on their child and request a correction if a record is wrong.
Queries about records or photographs can be sent to the school email listed on the Contact page.
